Don't be Sleeveless. Wear their hearts on your sleeve!
Hello everyone! Kelsie Richards and I, Megan Berry are selling coffee sleeves to raise money for the orphans at the Good Shepherd Orphanage in the Ofaakor community in Ghana. We want to help the orphans at the Good Shepherd Orphanage have a better future by sending them to school. High school in Ghana is expensive and very competitive and we have both seen first hand how hard these kids work just to get in. They get up at 4am for classes or for extra study time and go until 9pm that night. As you can see the kids are very determined to pass their high school entrance exams because they see education as hope for their futures. None of these kids will even come close to being able to afford the 1000$ a year that it costs for these boarding schools. Most of the lucky children that attended primary school will end up finishing school at grade 8 and then proceed to work on the road or farms. Most of the girls will end up becoming pregnant at a very young age. Jobs are hard to come by in Ghana, especially without an education and the orphans have no families to go to. All of us were or are fortunate enough to have free education throughout high school. Kelsie and I lived in Ghana for 2 months and all of the children at the Good Shepherd Orphanage and in the Ofaakor community that we met have changed our lives and truly shown us how much we should appreciate. We want to see to it that these amazing kids have the opportunity for a better life. One child that gets an education will be able to help many others like their villages and extended families. If you would like to purchase a sleeve for 5 dollars to help us with scholarships for these kids, let Kelsie or I know :) 100% of the money is going to the children. If you would like specific colours just let us know and we can custom make them for you!
